i just took a look at this and i like what i see. im thinking about putting this in my 87 3/4 ton suburban with 4:10's and a T400 tranny. what do you guys think? whats involved here? i have a 350 TBI in my truck right now thats pretty tired... how easy will the swap be?

is this enough power to get my big beast of a suburban rolling quickly and to spin the 36's? i think it is. let's hear your input

I've got no help to offer, but I'm thinking of doing the same thing and would be interested in seeing what people say about this.

Wow that thing has got to be fast with that "High left cam" :D
Unless you are going to make your sub strictly off road. I would think twice about that motor. It is built for a carb I don't think you will be able to pass Calif smog if you swap it in your burb unless you keep your TBI. It will take some tuning, quite a bit of work, and most likely a different cam to make it run with TBI.
Also the cheap price and the builder "Having to leave for mexico" raises a big red flag. if you did buy the engine i would recomend tearing it apart and checking it out to make sure it is built correctly. Pop the oil pan off before you buy to make sure you are really getting a stroker. Not a cheap rebuilt 350.

BTW for a little more than that guys asking price you can get a well built 300+ HP 350 from Xtreme FI that will drop right in and pass smog:Xtreme-fi TBI 350
They also build 383s just for TBI.

WOW, that's a steal with the chip and TB included. I'll definately be checking it out if I can't muster the cash for a HT383 when I need to swap. I personally wouldn't buy any motor off craigslist unless it was stock and running in the original vehicle, but that's just me.
