383 Tbi probs *new problem*

Well, they guy I had burn the chip has burned several with this cam and he is respectable, but I thought that the 383 cam was supposed to build good vacuum throughout the range.

Could be I have not looked at the specs in a while. Just something that popped in my head and was not sure if it had been discussed. I would like to see how things turn out as I said I was looking at putting a 383HT in my rig with the edelbrock TBI-MPFI conversion:D .

Modified is the key word. Stock sytems wont handle it, but its a fairly mild cam that a modified TBI setup should handle with no problem.

Well beings your chip is OK you may have a vaccum leak .
And you are right the cam in the HTs does build good vaccum. its specs 112 LS 196/207 dur @..050 will even work with the stock chip. Delivering fuel for the extra air flow is where the stock chip falls short.

I was just trying to get back closer to stock, then see what you need.... I didn't know you had a chip and some research in this already...

BTW the cam specs Thunder mentioned are just fine with EFI.
