38\'s with 9\" lift......need to trim?

I think that I'm just going to stick with a 9" lift and 38" TSL's. I'm going to buy a 14 bolt and was thinking about running 39" Boggers, but I think that I'll just stick with the 38" TSL's. Now I was wondering, you guys that are running 38's with a 6" suspension and 3" body........did you trim the fenders? I am buying a 9" suspension lift so I won't have to mess with a body lift. Let me know what's up. Thanks.

I am running a 8" suspension lift with 38" TSL. I was told and read that I wouldn't need to trim the fenders. But after some hard riding, I found that I will have to trim them some. Good luck with yours.

I guess it may depend on if you're running the skinny 38s (12.50") or the fat ones (16"), or the TSXs (14.50"). All I can tell you is that I am running 15"x39.5" TSLs on 12" wide Welds on a 13" suspended Suburban and they contact the trailing edge of the front fenders when turning and articulating. I need to trim.

I've always thought this is wierd, but a friend has an '84 3/4 ton PU with a 4" susp, 3" body lift, longer shackles, and 38's and they dont rub. There is also a lot of custom stuff on it, maybe he lowered the spring hangers or something...
