I'm putting 39.5x18 tires on my 1/2 ton K5 84 blazer, a older "knowledgeable" person told me that I'm going to twist my frame rails, anyone ever done this? btw I plan on minimally using a roll bar connected to the frame rails hopefully more...

tires have nothing to do with frame flex. A softer suspension will releive some of the frame flex
Sounds like he's full of crap.
These things have flexy frames. You can do just about as much damage to the frame with a 31" tire as the big tires.
