So I want a 3inch lift for by blazer and the only place making them that I've found is Tuff Country but I've never bought any of there products and dont really know how good they are. So Im lookin for some input.

Also, do I need to extend the driveline for a 3 inch lift or is it long enough?

Thanks and keep wheelin!

Go to offroaddesign.com and get their kit. It includes tough country front springs, but includes the rest of the parts and pieces you need to do it right. It is a little more expensive, but not a fair comparison cause teh tough country kit won't include all teh little things.

I'll look into it but I still dont know how good the tuff country springs are.

I called ORD and for a basic kits its about $660, thats springs, brakelines, pitman, shocks, box brace and the hardware for it all. Think I would just use blocks in the rear and might get the sway bar correct/disconnect.

I have been running a 3" TC lift for over 6 years now. I abuse it pretty good. The K5 kit comes with 3" front springs and if you order rear springs like I did they will be 4" to fix the saggy butt.

I've run 3" TC EZ in the front and stock springs/2.5" shackle flip in the rear. This worked well until the rear springs got tired, and I started adding more weight to the front (2 batteries, tube bumper, winch). Now it's 3" TC HD in the front and 2" TC/2.5" shackle flip in the rear. The both setups flex very well; actually, I like the current setup better since the flex is very even between front and rear. Everything (springs/shackle flip/bumper) is from ORD, but before they started offering the kit. I'm doing desert trails and and some rocks every now and then, and I'm happy with the way my suspension works.

I have the ezrides 3" in back with flip and 6 inch up front, extended shackles, zero rate in back because of the heavy bumper, tire carrier and cage. I have been running them for 3 years zero complaints.

I don't think anyone has answered this yet but your driveline will be fine. If you get the kit from ORD you will have the brake lines you need.

I've run a 1" driveline spacer in the front until I switched to a bigger axle earlier this year.

Ive never heard of a driveline spacer, where can I learn more about them, the last thing I want is for that to fallout as I go up a hill or over a speed bump

Wayne,
It looks like you have 3inch springs and extended shackles in front, and that is enough room for crossover steering? Did you modify the engine corssmemeber or anything?

Thanks,
Blake

No mods. I have a bent draglink. It has rubbed the engine crossmember a time or two but not bad enough for me to need to do something about it. You can see that it actually raises up toward the axle. That is actually from the springs sagging a little from years of flexing them and also the draglink was for 4" springs. It has never been an issue though. This picture was taken over a year ago when we tore the truck down and did the engine swap and a few other mods and did some cleaning and repainting. They are 6" shackles with the hanger moved forward.
