I can and will ASAP. Unfortunately, the grease is also the preservative and once drained, the rust process can begin. Assuming the guts look mint, will you be purchasing?

You can spray all the internals with some WD-40 if you clean all the grease out. This will preserve the gears.

He's not buying so I'm not pulling cover anyway. WD40 is okay. I don't plan to clean anything after draining. I spray all of them with Lubriplate extreme pressure lubricant preservative. It will stay there forever and is indifferent to gear oil contact.
