4.10 gears

I am new to this game but i was wondering what the difference in running a different gear in the rear was? I currently have a 1975 k5 with the stock 12 bolt and pretty much stock everything else, so if i wanted to change the gear in my rear end would i have to change something other than the gear in the rearend to make it run right? (I currnetly have 35's but soon plan to put 37.5's on it)

assuming you are going to run the same tires in the front and rear, when you make a gear ratio change, you need to change the gears in the front and rear axle, not just the rear.

for 35/37" tires, I'd recommend 4.56 gears too...
