this is a total newbie post but heres what im trying to do

basically im downsizing from 38 tsls. my k5 is being retired from offroad. its going to be turned into a tow/daily driver. im thinking of going down to 33 or 35 inch tires.

so anyone with 33s or 35s have these gears with no overdrive? whats your rpms at around 55-65mph?

id like to go 33s cause they are cheeper and get a bit more power but would like to keep it a little high up and not rev the heck out of the engine.

http://pitbulltires.com/calculate.php follow this link to the calculators, pug in your info and wa-la..your answer will appear!:D

sweet. i had one of those saved but couldnt find it

edit... how to find out the transmission gear ratio (im sure i can find that) and the TransCas Ratio whatever that is

it automatically puts 1 in place for both of them is that ok... seems about right

2558.4 with 35s
2713.4 with 33s

The final gear ratio is 1:1 unless you have an overdrive trans such as the 700R4 then it is a .7:1 or 30% overdrive.
