4.25\" backspacing...too much for 15x10 8 lugs???

i was checking out some wheel prices and the only 15x10's they can get in the style i want is 4.25" of backspacing....i already know i have to gring the calipers, but will the 4.25" require too much??? thanks

My 15x10 8 bolt white spokes have 3 5/8" backspacing. I did have to grind a fair bit to make em work. At the very least I would be very concerned about how much will be left of the backing plate. The caliper itself is thick, but the backing plate becomes thin in some areas pretty damn quick. I may even reinforce some parts of it.

What brand of wheels are you running Renee?

I've got some really generic looking white spokes. I bought them used so I didn't get to find out who makes em. Smokin deal though, $35 for all 4!!!

If I was to buy brand new, I'd go with a 15x8 so the tires would be a little farther under the fender. With the 10's my tires stick out at least 3" past the edge of the front fenders. Can't wait to go mudding!
