Anyone have any clues on where to find a 4.25" stroke BBC crank for a Gen VI 1 piece rear seal block?

not really what you asked for, but the 8.1's have a 4.37 inch stroke crank.

umm what do you have up your sleeve? Spare BB going into the race truck? :D

Or are you stroking the crew cab? :eek1:

:D

I'm still researching to find if I can stroke it to 496 and be smog legal... More cubes means more fuel which means more emissions but we'll see.

I just dont see how you dont get pulled over. Im scared of driving mine around the block to get gas.

If you bored it, wouldnt it be around 496? So if you bored it and stroked it shouldnt it be more?

454's are 4" stroke and a 4.25" crank with a .060" overbore is a 496. I've got a fully forged 496 sitting in the garage but no way it will pass smog...

I have a 540 based on a gen6 502 block. When I put it together I couldn't get a 4340 stroker crank for the one piece seal, so I ended up using an adapter. I wasn't really happy about it at the time but it works well and locates easily in these blocks...

no to highjack, but what do you do for a dipstick for the gen 6 blocks. is there a special one to use or something?

every dipstick i buy for a BBC isnt long enough to register, and i have 6 qts of oil in the pan.

Whoa Whoa...the crew cab is still smog and street legal???
