I have Googled til I'm blue in the face....does ANYONE have the OEM cam speciifcations, "BY PART NUMBER" for the 4.3??
I have found "code" reference specification...example; "Z" "T" etc. BUT nothing by part GM number? The problem is that everyone sells their cams...by part number!! Aftermarket OEM maker's such as Melling, Sealed Power, etc sell by PN. Used roller cams are all listed by PN....but no one seems to have the spec's on these OEM PNs?...lots and easy for the SBC, but not the 4.3?
The aftermarket is a non-issue, plenty of detailed spec's on lift, duration, etc...but GM factory spec's are not to be found. The GM Performance series (OEM aftermarket) provides plenty of detail.
I know the Astro van engine was listed as "HO" (high output) and I have located some "Z" code spec's referencing the Astro van's lift, duration, etc. But NOT by GM PN!!
Also, does anyone have a cross reference chart showing the Mercruiser spec's crossed over to the Chevrolet PNs? That would be useful as well. Mercruiser, Volvo, etc appear to like hidding their Chevrolet PN and lift, duration spec's as well!
Thanks

Just curious why do you want factory cam specs by oe #? Are you doing a swap or trying to chose cam close to stock or looking for an upgrade? If your looking for factory lift @.50 it is as follows int.0.357 exh o.390 107 center. Base +5 degrees ground in. Means it actually has 5 degrees advance when you set timing for zero. Hope it helps ya out if not lemme know and I can give ya some other info. Also when in doubt goto a g.m dealer ship and goto the pro parts department and I'm sure they could hook you up with an oe cam or specs or the number for it.
