I noticed coolant on the ground from my wife's 2003 Blz and it was basically dripping off the starter. The actual leak is somewhere above this point (it looks like from the back of the head at the head gasket) but there is no way to really see what is going on. I replaced the intake manifold gasket, didn't stop the leak. Is there anything other than the head gasket that could be leaking at the rear passenger side of the engine? Heater core hoses look OK, no leaks. Only 55k mi on the vehicle, original motor, DexCooled. Thanks!

That was fast! I have not seen any freeze plugs or any other type of plug, though the visibility is very limited, so there may be something like that there. Hoping someone that has pulled the heads/motor may know.

Heater hose fitting on the intake is known for breaking and causing a leak. The original ones were made of a pot metal and really weak, the new ones are steel.
