OK I have a new frame I was gonna build up excally the way I want it and stick my body on it (but keep the 350 and 700R4 untill I have enough $$$ to build a BBC and 4L80E) the frame had a 4.3 in it origionally but I though they were the same excact frames and motor mounts am I wrong? the only reason Im ask now is someone cut part of the engine crossmember with a torch like they were trying to clearance it (they guy I bough it from was going to put a SBC in it too). BTW this is a K10 LWB

good question im not sure but i know of a 4.3
86 or so full size truck i can look at if needed,
i bet at least the block mounted brackets differ from v8 ones

should be identical, although you may have to move them forward or back.

should be identical or pretty close to it... If that frame is anything like the one on my bros jimm its gonna be a tight fight... doable but a PITA if it has a s-10 body. the firewall is your biggest problem with that combo.

i don't think you have to change a thing to drop a SBC, should fall right in to stock frame mounts.....

here's an idea... measure from the rear most motor mount hole to the belhousing flange. post up the measurement, and someone here can measure a smallblock.
