I am trying to find some info I am running 35's on my 88 K5 this is my Daily Driver so you know with stock gears my MPG Sucks so can any one tell me by upgrading to 4:56 how much would that improve my MPG.

I am also thinking of geting EFI Manifold where should I get that LMC has one for just under 1300.00 has every thing you need to install but it I am trying to see if I can get it cheaper. any help would be great.

if your tranny has overdrive, use 4.56s.
if your tranny doesn't have overdrive, use 4.10s.

unless you don't drive on the highway much, then run 4.56s anyway.

Yes I have OD tranny and 4.56's would be great but after doing the greas can anyone tell me what i may get as far as MPG right now I get maybe get 10 mpg. and that is killing the Bank.

(so you all know I know having an old truck dose mean its going to suck the gas I am just looking to improve that just a bit)

thats one of the things im looking at too, at 70mph im turning 1800rpm in OD.

it hunts between gears on the hiway alot, i dont want to tear up the od band.

im thinking it must have like 3:08's in the rear to turn that low with 33"s

im thinking 3:73 or 4:10's, which would be better for a mostly street driven with a few trails??? is there as much diff as there is in a street car??
