Ok so I have a old set of mickey thompson valve covers that were on my truck pre vortec heads.... do they make a kit to put these oldies on a motor that has vortec heads?
I remember seeing these a while back but cant find any info on it... you basically....

put a gasket down on the head... this adapter bolts on top next then the valve cover with gasket.....

if not guess ill get rid of my valve covers as I am trying to cleanup a bit...

Wah?!?! I saw a set of those somewhere and they were a 1/4 of that price. Need to do some checking...

Still a crappy idea IMO. The worst Chevy had to offer (perimeter valve covers that perpetually leak, with no way of securing the gaskets in place) plus adding another gasket to the already problem prone seal area, all while you can get fancy centerbolt valve covers if you have to have something other than stock.

I like the stock centerbolt valve covers. Much improved design in all regards, not a single drop out of mine, and they've been off numerous times, same gaskets, no sealant. Plus with a little grinding the crane roller rockers fit under them. :)
