4 button keyless entry remote in place of 3 button

My parents have an 01 Tahoe with keyless entry, and the remote has 3 buttons: lock, unlock, and panic.

Someone left a GM remote at my house a while ago that looks the same, but has a 4th button for truck pop (it was from a car).

Can this remote be programed to work on the Tahoe that normally has a 3 button, and just not have the trunk button do anything?

In a word no. It fits 96-02 F-body. Also some 99-00 C-K trucks. But not 01 sorry.

Did you decide that based on the part number?

The keys left with it were to a saturn.....

But after they sat at my house for like 18 months after a party...i figured no one was coming back for them

yep just by the part #
it does not appear to fit saturn

84zz4ss Would this work for a 99 Tahoe? I am in need of one or two of these for the wifes truck, but am leary of trying some from e-bay in fear that it may be wrong.

I did some reading over at fullsize chevy, and that part # that looks like it will work. If it doesn't work I'll send it back to ya. PM me if you are serious

ok he is sending it to me so I can try it. I think I have the programing figured out. Jump the two terminals and the truck will lock and unlock a few times then press and hold the remote buttons. I will PM ya if this works leper, and buy a couple from ya. It would be nice to have actual Tahoe 3 button remotes
