4 days of rain = flooded streets ATTN DirtyJim

I just saw on the news that spots of the North Shore got pounded with 14in of rain!!! Saturday was just a big deluge for me in Franklin. I have to check out the mud hole where I go wheelin' I bet they are impassable for my truck. I think I will need spools, swampers, winch, and a snorckle then I could think about it.

monsoon here too...

We didn't get as much as the north shore area did,but got heavy downpours most of today and yesterday...

I had planned to go to a swap meet they had at Great Woods in Mansfield,a two day event many friends of mine were selling stuff at..I bet they got pnuemonia!..more like a "swamp" meet..pisses me off the only weekend I didnt want rain,it rains 10"..after months of drought!.. ..

I bought a 6 pack by cashing in my accumulated empty cans, and stayed home and drank instead..:D ....there wouldnt have been much sense in paying admission to get rained on,buying gas,and walk around a mostly empty lot.I'm sure many people left early, after the way it rained yesterday..

.I bet the vendors are pissed, many come from out of state, and this swap meet is a big one, that they usually make a killing at..:(

still raining....drove around to snap some pics...it just started to pick up again so i`ll go out later to get some more

the second one looks like it was a 3rd seat in a burb or the back seat in a blazer or something similar...where that is there is like a 6 foot dip in there that goes all the way down the whole length of the lot

This kinda how it looked on saturday when it was the heaviest for me. But I just went back to my off roading sweet spot and it was flooded beyond recognition. Its a good thing that the mud doesn't get real deep or I would have got stuck. I mostly idled through most stuff just to see how deep it was. HORRAY for my granny gear! I can't wait till thursday because I will finally have some time to go all out and it will be sunny again at a sweet 70*.

a couple times a year around here it floods bad enough to submerge my 37's on the low side of town, people wont vote to pay for flood control

the only thing i can do is buy more beer and look out the window at my 38's and d60 and keep telling myself that they will be hooked up this weekend... rain or shine

well the flooding was pretty bad around here, we ended up having to use my truck to get down a couple flooded streets so we could get to a couple houses that we needed to start pumpin....we drove around a bit after that looking around and then last night i got to go around with my buddy and his dad(who works for the water dept) and he showed us all the dams and how they were eroding away...yesterday we had no school but today i was supposed to but i`m not going because i have to go pump sewage out of my grandparents basement:eek1: :eek1:

I've been pretty lucky so far, but I live in the SW corner of NH.... my daily drive to Worcester, MA only has one small water crossing to deal with.

I hope it keeps raining enough that my boss sends me home early!!!!

ok guys i sent some pics and a short video of the flood to NECN so watch out if they put them up, the pics have ck5.com in the bottom right hand corner and they are in my gallery

Sweet, I will have to watch for them!

I ended up going wheelin' today, and might I say that there was a lot of water. I got some pictures of my friend's Jeep crossing a large water trap. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of my truck in action because well, I was driving. I appolagise ahead of time for the blurry pics because it was raining and cell phone doesn't take good pictures.

BTW, this was the same trap that I water locked my engine on a few weeks back. But today at the center is must have been 3 1/2ft deep no joke or exaduration.

grrrrrr why cant i live closer to you??????

i wanna go wheelin!! just not in water that deep:eek1:

Like I said the water was deep! In another spot all the rain must have formed a creek from a marshy area that I have never seen water running through. It was fun crossing running water. The deepest part was up to my front bumper. I was glad that the bottom was rocky and not sandy or muddy so I crawled through it.

:D sure i`d love to move in with you

Woa! You could cramp my style :pimp:
Just kidding,

But its a little ironic that I was just thinking that I wish there was a flooded street around me so I could fly through it.
