Question to you all. have any of you ever ran into rub problem's with a 4 inch lift and 35's. My 83 K5 is stock and about to go through the complete rebuild process. I'm just trying to get all the stuff together. My guess is that'll be fine with about 4" of BS on the wheel's with a set of 35x12:50-15's with the 4" lift. I have no issue's with some fender trimming if I have too. I still haven't completly made up my mind about 4" wwith the 35's or 6" with ??x??:??x15's. You guy's have been playing with Blazer's longer than I have.

I had to trim the front to fit 35's with a 4inch lift. What are you going to use the truck for?

Dont forget dropped pitman arm, extended brake lines and possibly having to lower Tcase.

You'll rub! I run 35s with ' 4 inch' lift, though after angled zeros on the rear with a flip, small zeros on the front i've actually got about 5", and I still had to trim the front fenders. Consider a crossover while you're at it if money permits.

i don't have my sway bar on and i rub with a 4inch lift with 33's on
X2 pic is when i still had 4 inch backspacing and a 15x10 wheel

I kinda assumed the trim on the fender's, wasn't sure though. I'll be using the truck for DD/ some wheeling. No rock crawling but I live in the middle of 88 acre's of woods with alot of good hunting, plus hunting in other area's. I just couldn't ever leave any truck stock !! I alway's tend to over-build for what I actually use them for. Hell, My CJ is built to run the Rubicon in reverse and I've never rock-crawled the thing in my life.

What about Cut-Out flares? How much do you actually have to cut out and do you really get any big advantages? I live in the RUST BELT !! (north-eastern Wisconsin)

The cut outs have a bad reputation for durability (IE they aren't).

Cool,Thanks, I will take that as a "I'll just trim them and Piss on the flares" !!

Alright, I'm gonna show my ignorance. I haven't built a truck for 4 years or better. I suffered massive burn-out after the last 4 or 5 trucks. I lived in Las Vegas,Nevada for alot of year's. My CJ was built for the Desert. There's no desert in Wisconsin, any way, what are you talking about when you say "angled Zero's on the rear and small zero's on the front" ? Are you talking about the angle of the shackles ? Positive/Negative ? Please inform me.

I believe he was referring to what is called "zero-rate's" they are basically 1" tall blocks that bolt to your spring pack with a new center pin, so they are safe to use in the front suspension. By angleing them means a taper was machined so it eliminated the need for shims.

Also like what everyone else said, you will need to trim the rear of the front fender opening. I almost ruined two tires with a 4" lift and 35s with no swaybar. The tires rubbed bad when I was wheeling and put some good sized cuts into the tires

4" lift here with 15x10 wheels and 33's no rubbing...

The amount of rub will depend on the springs that you use; stock, firm, EZ, etc. I have 4" ToughCountry EZs with 35s, and it rubbed. It also makes a big difference if you install ORD greasy bushings.
I cut the fenders:hack:, and put the sway bar back on.
