with 4" of lift and fender cutting how much tire can i fit? 38"s? whats the easiest way to move the axles forward and back for better angles?

I have 38's on mine with a some cutting, and will eventually have to cut more but people on here have fit bigger with more cutting.

As for moving the axles forward or back you can redrill the perches or get some zero rates from ORD.

heres mine with 4" and 38.5x15 tsls

All depends on the year of your truck and how much your willing to cut away.

I'm running 42's on a 1st gen with 6"s of lift.
Front fenders are cut 4.5"s along the entire arc of the opening.
This equates to 9"s total front to back. :eek1:

No fender contact anymore but I can't say the same about the firewall.

I ran 13/38 TSL's on 16x10 rims with 4" of lift and very minor inner fenderwell contact. I've since switched to 39.5x15 TSL's on 15x8 2.75 BS wheels and have been getting some decent rubbing, but after some more hammer work it doesn't appear the rubbing is hurting the tires any (rubbing against smooth surfaces).

I run 4" and cut a ****ton with my axle in the stock location and 37 mtrs I still almost hit the firewall. I would say I have about .5" at full stuff while turned.

I am gonna J cut the front and move the axle forward and go with 42s and 4"s of lift.

Dik

If you swap springs front & rear you can move the axles a lot. I run 56" springs turned with the long side forwards in the rear & it moved the axle rearward about 5". I had to elongate the rear inner fenders to give the back tires enough room. In the front I run 56's too. I moved the front axle forward a little over 3". I also "J" cut the front fenders. I have about 4" of lift w/ a 1" ORD body lift. I am running 42" TSL's.

Here is a pic of it sitting next to my stock heigth CC.

Depends how much you are willing to cut. With 4" lift you could fit 44s. But you will be hitting the firewall. As far as moving axles, you can use ORDs zero-rates to move the axle 1" or 1.5"s. Also you can swap springs (52",56",57",64"). There are a lot of choices

I am "running" 38s with 4" of lift and some fender trimming. And by running, I mean, my truck is sitting in the garage waiting to get finished so I can see if I need to trim more!

Now that that's out of the way - time to Hijack.

Boz - I love that truck and want to do a similar cage some day. One question - how do people get in the back seat? To me the whole purpose of a Blazer is to carry 3-4 people, but I want a crossbar for the front harnesses.

Boz - That thing is MEAN. Looks like it'd rub a ton though.

Everyone else post your pics of ~4" lift and big tires!

Thanks, I have a lot of time & too much money invested in it. When the top is off most people just climb up on the tire & "Duke Boy" it in. When the top is om (winter only) You can climb through the middle between the front seats. It is a bit(h cause of teh cutting brakes & triple shifte but you can manage. You can kinda tell how it is in this pic:

It will rub the firewall a little, & it will rub the tops of the front fenders if you turn teh wheel, but not as bad as you think:

Here's a pic of mine. Regular old 4" Tuff Country's in the front, stock axle locations, shackle flip in the rear with stock springs, 39.5" tires.

Pic of mine is here (the white one). Not exactly an action shot, more of a dragging my junk home shot.

Try the sticky at the top of the garage as well.
