I have a set of 3/4" heims from our local speed shop. Will they be strong enough for my rear 4 link?

This is my first 4 link and I'm still reading/researching.

Thanks, Bruiser

LOL, I know thats not a brand, just telling you what thier made of. I called my friend I got them from and he couldn't remember the brand name.

At least I don't have too much invested in them.

Within any given manufacture a chro moly heim may have several different ratings. So unless you have a part number for them and they are a very high quality heim I would not run them

Thanks guys. I don't want to buy a kit. I will get some parts from Ruff Stuff.
Link tabs and frame mounts. Prob heims now also.

Any recommended size on the heims?

Like I said before I have seen 3/4 Heims that would work in a 4 link with our trucks but they are usually more money like nearly 100 bucks if not more. So with an unknown Heim, I always say get new ones.

Most speed shops 3/4" heims are way underkill for our trucks

I used 7/8 for my uppers and 3" cartridge joints for the lowers

He said he paid almost $350 for them.

Would it help if I said this is just the frame and cage. No body. basically a buggy with a k5 frame. Sorry I should have mentioned that from the beginning.

Nope.:D

You really need to find out what brand and what grade if you want to use them.

3/4" shank heims are easy to bend/break and that's really all there is to it. We sheared a 7/8" one at KOH this year, thinking about going up in size on that.

They're fine for uppers, but you want bigger lower joints.
