I'm working on a parts list for my build ( 76 K5 Blazer - Restomod ) and have been focusing on an ORD custom spring kit with cross-over steering. I'm going to look at another K5 that has 4-link with airbags. I'm not familiar with this setup at all. Pros and cons? Issues driving it on the street? Anything advice greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Probably sucks wheeling it. If it’s purpose built with airbags, then maybe. It’s probably a pavement princess. I’m not bagging on it, I’ve never seen it. Just sounds like a lot of work and $$$$ for not very much gain.
I’m just using 52” rear springs front and rear with shackle flip and reversal and 6 inch shackles up front with an DIY4X Abomb bumper/spring mount.

No personnel experience with a 4link and air bags, but Dave Chappelle (AKA Dirthead Dave) has built multiple rigs with similar setups. For instance his Mazagrande.

It's a purpose-built crawling setup. D60/14ff, 203/205. I'm not looking to replicate it; I'm thinking about buying it as it's the same year as my project. Still, not knowing anything about that type of suspension setup has me uncertain. Appreciate your feedback.

Must be a different Dave Chappelle than the one I see reels on all the time on FB......

Going to see it next weekend. It has full hydraulic steering. Think it may be too off-road-only focused. Thoughts on what it might take to put it back to hydro-assisted steering?
