Hey future friends! I need help deciding on how to build my 1972 blazer suspension. I bought 1 ton axels and planned to 4 link front and rear, but I really want it to be my daily driver and have heard that 4 link might not be the best way to go? This would be my first 4 link vehicle and I have actually never even ridden in one, but I like the look of them and watched videos of them off road and they look badass! Please share your advice! Thanks.

My K5 has Offroad Designs front and rear 4-link and it handles better now than it ever has. I have their rear swaybar kit on it. Mine is a ‘84 I see yours is a ‘72.
I’m pretty sure they have a setup for first gens

Well there are so many variables at this point.
Too many. So many it's easy to really have bad drivability if you haven't spent a tremendous amount of time learning about it.

Need to narrow down your checklist of how the truck has to perform. A triangulated 4 link may not even be the best way to get there. But parallel is a good option for the front.

I would be honest with yourself about what you are trying to achieve. The offroad design coil over kit is about $6000 each axle. Do you need a $12,000 suspension to make your truck work right? The engineering is done and its a great kit. The obstacles a true 4 link will tackle are amazing. Trying to piece together your own 4 link may save money but it also may not work properly. Would custom leaf springs work for you? They are also very capable off road and a lot less money.

When I did mine it was about 3400 per axle. Not sure what the new Biden prices are currently

Bro, if you have the funds, ok do it. But if you're driving will be predominantly street, with a little off-road that's awful lot of money to spend when leaf springs and nice bilsteins can provide just as smooth a ride.

Unless you're just going for a badass off-road show-look with little go, you're wasting your money.

ORD leaf springs, shackle flip, hangers and ORD valved bilsteins will do the trick at a significantly lower cost, while still providing plenty of off-road go, as well as a comfy (enough) ride in a daily driver
I had custom Ord leaf springs at all 4 corners with Bilsteins before I 4-linked it.
I’m not exaggerating when I say it went from a squishy marshmallow to a Camaro.

I rolled through the ORD website and checked the boxes on the coil over kit with Kings. I was interested as I would love the setup myself. Added up quick and it could actually be more than $6k per axle depending on options.

3 points from me .

crazy money build / jumping / rock crawling = 4 link setup .

otherwise call ord and spec some custom leafs and bilstien shocks .

Please excuse my ignorance but I am new to the 4x4 world, at least when it comes to building one. Is Offroad Designs a company?
