4 link with coilovers rear! PICS

[ QUOTE ]
I don't currently run hydro assist. I've heard from several rockcrawlers ,that also like going fast, that you lose some quick steer with hydro assist.

[/ QUOTE ]

Hydro assist is commonly used in Desert Racing and will not slow down your steering response; in fact it will help.

you must clue me in on what you run because I went out and bought the most expensive kit I could from AGR and it is strong ass hell but when you are ripping through the dunes and come in to a berm the steering is no where near quick enough and thats the same issue that every single person I have spoken with that has ram assist has said.
when we were in moab we were wheeling with matt from west texas offroad (red neck ram) and he said the only way to speed up your steering is to modify the pump but then they will always burn up so its one or the other.

every time I have been out in the desert or in the dunes I have come real close to an accident because the steering is not quick enough.
if you are going to stay with a smaller tire or even a 40" mtr you probably wouldnt need the ram because of how small the contact patch is (narrow).

AWSOME MAN!!!!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Thats an odd K5 body /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

I was going to do 4 link but the price of the coilovers what whats slowing me down. I like the rear, I am going to triangulated front and rear!

looks good man!

I wouldn't modify the pump buy a new one from performance bodies.com it has a remote reservoir so you can run it though a cooler and you can change the valving to fit you application. I have one cause I can't stand the stock one.

I have the bad ass AGR pump and its still not quick enough.
I would honestly like to see one that is as fast as some here on this board claim.
now dont thing that I dont like my steering because it works extremely well in almost every situation their just not quick enough.

This is probably a good subject to start a new thead, maybe in the CG forum, but one potential problem with the hydro assist could be your hydroboost. I assume you still have it (you being bob) since you're truck was a K30. Mine tends to "bump" when I want to to go fast and I've heard porting the hydroboost helps.
