Which lift would you recommend, 4" or 6" for a 77 longbed pick-up? What brand do you prefer?

Right now it's on 2.5 Ruff Country and 33's. I am in the market for more lift. This truck will have to be streetable and handle moderate difficulty trails.

Seems like once you get over a 4" lift you really start changing things in the steering, driveline, center of gravity, tire size, trimming et.

Any other guys out there running the trucks?

i had 4" o.k. no real problems. then went 6" only big problem was front shaft grinding. had th350 with 205 setup. also complet ord stuff for it. like poly geasable bushings hd shackles flip 4" rear ya know all the good stuff. had 3" body lift and 38x12.5x16.5 tsl on 9.75 rims and would stuff then in to the fenders at full flex. all of this on 1/2 ton frame and d60/14ff setup.

i have 82 long box 6.2 with 4'' tuff county ez-rides all leaf spring set up flexes good and rides smooth.it has 35-12.50s .no changes to steering, brake hoses and drive lines.

82 k10 longbed 6" superlift and 56" 6" rancho outback gonna put my 52" springs up front 35x12.50x15 bfg muds

Not to hijack......

I ws kinda wondering the same thing on my 79 K10 LB.
From reading the other replys, it looks like 4" and less *usually* doesn't require and major modifications.
