4 point or 5 point harness

Since the cage is going in this week sometime just wondering what everyone opinion on 5 point vs 4 point harness for seat belts. Just starting to get to the concerns the Fiance had about the rig.

That's purely preference I think. We usually aren't high speed, and sit up more straight, so I think the chances of sliding out the bottom in a crash are pretty low. But then again, if you have a 5 point you can always only use 4 points if you want. I think it just matters what you want.
 
hmm didn't think of that. I guess which ever I get a good deal on is what I'll end up putting in.
 
you need a hole in the seat for the crotch strap, but it can help hold the lap belt down in place.

Course your skinny so it shouldn't be a problem for you, but yes more pleasantly plump fellows the lap belt will kind of ride up the Buddha belly a bit
 
one that is not going to be a hassle whenever you want to get in and out of the ride often, like to see the area or walk a trail or whatever, if it becomes too much of a hassle to unbuckle a bunch of latches or whatever, ya might just start saying screw it and not put them on.

Just a basic seatbelt system in my opinion would work for trail riding or lower speed stuff, something to keep you in the seat if a tip over or worse a complete roll over.

I know from riding in my Burb with the factory seatbelt is much easier, quicker to fasten, and will hold me in place if a tip or roll over occurs, I have ridden in a few with multi-point belts systems, and it was weird and awkqard having to undo everything and refasten everything everytime I wanted to get out, so you either start thinking, i'll just sit here and guess, or you're always fighting with belts..

running no doors with a hacked off roof, and cage so regular belts wont cut it
 
I wasn't really saying to use regular belts, just using them as an example of easier operation type belts. I would say the 4 point would be sufficient, just find something that's simple to unbuckle and rebuckle...:waytogo:
 
Purchased 2 crow 4 points from ebay. Fancy purple color so the fiance aproves the purchase :)
 
I'm gonna run Crowe's 3" 3 point setup in black..

I got mine from racers that have to update their belts, nothing wrong with em, and less than 1/2 price. I got 5 points, but will only use 4, as the Stupid Duty seats dont' have a hole in em...yet.
