4 post battery

I understand the difference between the two, but seems others are getting them confused.

No problem SandawgK5..

The last side post i had was an red top optima, melted the pos side post took it back for a Walmart Everstart Maxx top post, never looked back..3yr free replacement.

Every marine battery i've had has 4 post, but none on the side. They have 2 lugs & 2 wing nuts on top.

my bad.. i thought you where talking sides and tops, not top and stud...

anyone else play with flag posted batteries?
 
We have a fair amount of them in the bigger boats.. diesel stuff.. but I do see them on some "house" systems (everything other than motors)..

very common in series systems.. 24 volt, 32 volt, etc house systems...
