4"s of lift and 44"s?

I'm running approx. 5.5" with 44's. Not much fender left. Front is narrowed as well as the rear. Core support is cut alot. Front axle pushed 4-5" forward. I'm still cutting. Rear is making contact with the inside of whats left of the inner fender. Front is contacting everything!

wow something is different here, i can go lock to lock on flat ground with no issues. it rubs on the firewall at full stuff and the wheel turned to 3/4, like i said before i can live with this. you guys must be able to turn a bit more than i can. as far as i can tell i am not rubbing all over like you guys are saying. i am running 2.5 backspacing on 15x12s and the front is narrow but only like 14" otherwise the rear used to rub the inner well with the 39s but the body lift seems to have reduced that to the point that i do not notice it. i plan on playing with this set up a bit to get some more flex but not in the searce of more lift this might make things rub more.hey cyberfire i love your k5 tube doors, just what i was looking for but the price tag is a little steep for me right now, maybe in the spring :D just wondering about shipping to 52216?

I removed the steering stops when I did hydro assist. Maybe that is why I can thurn slightly more/ less than you can?

did you put them back in?

No, I figured the ram would act as my limit and if the bolts were there I would risk cracking the knuckles or just break the bolts. :doah:

If you are running in mud you won't have to many problems running 44's. I did it with my 85 K5 but I gave it more lift when I could afford it.The second pic is after adding 4 more inchs of lift.

That's soo awsome.. I wonder if that could be done and still keep inner fenders?

Nope. The mounting points for the inner fenders all get cut away when the outer fender is hacked that far. :(

Well, on Eric's truck, he had to remove the inner fenderwells and do some hammer modifications to a couple spots on the cab. When he junped it a few times last July, his tires rubbed on the cab.

I think he solved the problem with a hammer. :D He didn't rub at all last Saturday and he had it twisted fairly good a couple times.

Kind of funny talking to him about it... the lift is exactly how it was when he got it... all he's done is go from 35's, to 39.5's, to 44's and less and less fender.
