I have heard mixed reviews about them. Do they suck or what?

I deal with the one in Oakland CA. They have always been very helpful to me and some other guys on this site. I have heard some stories about there mail order. They never get your order right and then are rude about it on the phone. If you can deal with one directly then go for it.....

Do a search - this is one of the most discussed topics on here.

I got my Pro Comp Brake lines from them over the internet with no problems.

I deal with the Austin store with no problems but I have never tried the mail-order and I most of the problems people have with them are through the mail-order....

Basically to make a long story short... if you can walk into the store and know exactly what part you need and number, etc. then go ahead... Mail order and that... No WAY! They suck in my mind mind and even worse they are dishonest! My stuff came outta the KC store FYI (I ordered over the phone, live in MN).

I've ordered from them twice, The first time I bought front and rear shocks, The rears were about 4-6 inches too long , I called and they picked them up and re-sent the correct ones. The second time I bought a set of 35" Pro Comp Mud Terrains on Eagle 589's and everything arrived with no problems and it was the best deal I've seen on them anywhere ............ So far so good, although after hearing so many others on here tell their horror stories with them it kind of makes me feel tentative to deal with them again. Maybe I just got lucky who knows ??

Where do I begin? Well...we all know that people are human ur a...well...at least some of us are...and that we make mistakes. However, in my dealings with 4 wheel wholsale parts...I'll never buy from them again. Worst retail experience in my life. No offense to those of you who can step right up to a counter and get something. The mail order sucks. The customer service sucks. I ordered wheels/tires, lift/shocks, brake lines. Basic stuff. They send 5 lug wheels and shocks for a ford ranger. No bushings for my shocks and incomplete parts for my steering stabilizer. I call to get it resolved and they make me out to be the bad guy. The supervisor I spoke to about my ordeal was no better. If you are mail ordering...take my advice...pay a little bit more and buy from national tire.

I too shop at the one here in Austin Texas.. guys there are great.. some there own Blazers so they know exactly what I'm looking for or what I'm talking about..
Guess I won't have to deal w/ their mail order.. Glad a shop is close by...
I've had great experiences with the store so far.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it. http://www.rocko.coloradok5.com

I actually like the place but have never been able to buy from them because they have always screwed up my order. like 3 times. But the people there were pretty knowledgeable-they just couldn't get it together all the way...this was in el cajon

The Fresno, Ca store is great and I've had great results with the online and phone ordering too.
