A buddy of mine has a 2003 Honda 400ex that he is wanting to sell. The quad is completely stock and less than 75 hours. Oil, oil filter, and air filter just changed. He's only asking $3000 and the thing looks perfect. Good deal or no?

I just paid 6 G's for a 2004 300ex granted I got the 3 year full replacement warrenty and theft recovery, but the 400ex is a bigger machine for 1/2 the price.

Well, I bought it from the guy and took it home to Georgia on vacation with me. I rode the crap out of it and I am very impressed with it. Couldn't be happier. I'll get some poser shots up soon.

Well, here is a pic. The tan 4wheeler behind mine is a good friends Honda 300 utility.

Threadjacking in progress! /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

I've never riden a trailboss, but a friend of mine has a Scrambler 500 and he beats the snot out of it. I rode a *I think* 400 utility Polarias the other day and wasn't kind to it and it did fine. They make a nice machine, no doubt about it. Automatic is a nice feature if you are looking for ease of use. What are you wanting to do with it? Trailride, race, work, hunt? Things to think about.

trail ride and pull the empty trailer a little -- and the auto for the wife

add on

and 3379 out the door for a new 2004 is not bad i think

I just looked up the Trailboss on Polaris's website. Its a nice looking machine. For what you are wanting to do, I think either the Honda 300 utility or the Polaris would be a great machine. The auto makes for much easier riding, plus it has a handlebar mounted all wheel brake. The Honda is an autoclutch manual that is still easy to operate, but the auto would win for ease there. That isn't a bad price at all! I think that would be a great buy.
