400/203 adaptor needed **GOOD GOD! DOESN\'T ANYONE HAVE ONE OF THESE?**

Posting this for a friend of mine who somehow broke his adaptor on his '79 K20. I realized his front shaft was "too long" after he got custom ones made. I never heard of one of these adaptors breaking until I saw his. <img src="http://coloradok5.com/forums/images/icons/tongue.gif">

Anybody have one for a fair price?

GEEZ!!!

Not one reply and no one has even one adaptor to sell me?!?!

COME ON NOW, I need one for this guys truck as he needs it back on the road again.

I have absolutely no clue what they are worth. I will only ask you what you want to ask for.

Oh, I see how you are.

It's not my fault that you don't want to meet half way to do the deal.

Most others on this site would be more than happy to meet someone halfway to do a deal.

But I guess you being a new member just don't understand that.

I have met a few members from Texas in OKC. I'm going to meet another member from Chicago in St. Louis.

If you could just take 2 hours out of your "busy" time, like I volunteered to do, I would still be more than happy to buy that front D60 from you. But when you want me to drive clear to your place and not change the part cost, then that adds up more on my side for fuel and time, it just does not make it worth the trip.

Something to think about here, as I'm just trying to help you out...

I hate to try this again....but it looks like Russ84K5 is selling a 400/203 combo in the "For Sale" section...?

It sounds like you only want a "part" of it, but you never know.....maybe it's cheap enough to buy the whole thing and keep some "spares"?

Greg, thanks for the reminder.

This part is for a friend's truck which is broken down now. So all he needs is the adaptor.

I understand completely about buying the complete t-case to get the adaptor, but gotta realize, I already have some and do not need more parts laying around.

I do not want to sell my adaptors to my friend because then my t-case's would be rendered useless without the adaptor.

So, I thought I would have better luck finding just the adaptor here, but it's proving harder than expected.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you...our car got fixed. It had a bad intake manifold gasket and that ran me a little over $300 to fix. So, there went your money!
