400/205 round pattern adapter

I have a round pattern 400 to NP205 adapter I don't need. Yes it is a 205 adapter and not a 208 that has been notched. It has the shifter boss. I don't have the shifter for it. One of the ears was broken, and has been welded back on. I have run it since with no problems. $100 plus the ride.

i have a th400 for a np203 so if i put that on will it bolt up to a 205?

I believe the output shaft on the turbo 400/NP203 combo is shorter than the one designed for the 205. It would probably engage the input on the round pattern 205, but I don't think it would go in far enough to provide adequate strength. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
