I have 74 with a turbo 350 and a 203 t-case, I have a 400 and 205 to swap in and I need to know if it will be a direct swap or if there are any major hiccups I am going to run into when I do this. I know drivelines are gonna be an issue, but curious about the rest. Thanks

Since you have a 400/205 assembly this should be an easy, direct swap. You will need a t-case shifter if you don't already have one for a 205. Your crossmember will move back 3.5"~4" but it will work on the new combo. Other than that driveshafts/yoke size/u-joints should be the only catch.

You will need a wide open throttle kickdown switch for the t400 trans. There is a bracket attached under the dash that has a switch mounted to the gas petal. A wire from the fuse block (ign hot) goes to this switch and the other wire attaches to the side of the trannsmission. You will also need a fill tube for the th400 and that's about it.

I appreciate the info guys. This will definetely help!
