The 350TBI motor in my towrig died, so I'm gonna replace it with a 400.
I have a 400 with TBI heads, RV cam, and a Qjet that makes plently of power for what I need. But to updata this motor I'm gonna want a different cam that is more TBI friendly and will work with reg hyd-lifters. I believe the TBI motors had roller rockers, so anyone have any cam recomendations that will satisfy these requirements? :ears:

stock tbi motors in trucks were non roller lifters / rockers.

True. And the cams are pretty mild. You'll need a cam kinda close to TBI specs and/or be prepared to do some chip burning.
If you're running a 'normal' compression ratio and a cam with a similar lift, duration and seperation to that of a 'hot' TBI cam you may well get away with a stock chip.
Good luck.
