Going on a 91 k5 with a 5.7. So is this a normal price? i was thinking it would be likr 250 or so. as always thanks for the help

As long as it's getting Flowmaster or equivalent and 2.5 inch pipe thats aluminized. It's on the high side but it's not extreme.

Go to the Meineke on Brick Blvd... Best exhaust guy around, bar none...

Depends on what all is being replaced and, like jtrux said, the quality of the parts being used.

It could be a fair price, it could be highway robbery. No way to know unless you give us more details.

Dual exhaust 2 1/4 inch id $195 with Turbo mufflers $20 S&H

Total I paid $368.00 for my complete system

Would I use these companies again? Darn straight skippy :waytogo:

Am I happy with fit and the way it sounds? Yes

It has been on the vehicle for over one year and no problems.

Are those pipes aluminized or galvanized?

If they're just galvanized (like most aftermarket pipes), they're going to rust out within two years, since I know you get as much salt as we do.

Whats your labor rate for yourself tho? For another $50, he's got it installed...

16 gauge aluminized and as to my labor rate I am retired and it is free. My friend who has a garage and I did it on a Saturday when he was closed. The cost of knowing it was done right...... priceless!

Cool that it's aluminized but 16 gauge seems kind of thin.

I dunno... maybe not.

You will get to see and hear it on the third! Like I said I am darn happy with it and love the way it sounds. :woot:

Nah man, no poke whatsoever... :haha:

Just kinda trying to make a point in a roundabout kinda way... If you where working, you could certainly earn way more than that $50 in the time it took you to install...

And remember exhaust work isn't always fun, especially for the inexperienced or tool/lift challenged...

Exhaust is one of those items that even I'll send out on occasion... Probably the only one I do.. I've known many exhaust guys over the years who are surprisingly cheap...

Now where's that stick of mine? :wink1:

I was quoted $300 for my K5 single 3" with mandrel bends I supply the cat and muffler. He was going to have to cut apart mandrel bent tail pipes to custom fit my exhaust. I am going to have about $280 in mine with bends, straight pipe, muffler, cat, and solid bar hangers. I am installing it myself though.

its going to be aluminized at 2 1/25 for the 425 ryoken, thanks man will go there soon.

That's about right, I got my custom exhaust put on for $475 with tax. I had a new cat put on and straight dual pipes with 3" tips for a 305.

I'd just go 3" single...

Is this for that beater you where mentioning? Stock motor?

They make exhaust pipes at two and one-twenty-fifth inch diameter?

:D

I'm sure it looks and sounds fine, I'm just wondering how long it will last. :dunno:
