anyone have pics and or specs on there rig with 42s or bigger..?

heres my gal

83 chevy k30. 496/4500/205 on 42" tsls

suspension is rear: diy shackle flip. 4.5" shackle. 4" tuff country spring roughly 8" total

front are skyjacker 6" softrides, 1.5" shackle, 0 rate... roughly 9" lift

this pic was taken with no drivetrain so the suspension has not completely settled (body off restromod) ill post up 2 pics for yah, and the fenders werent cut at this time either

im 5'6"

first one is with the body lift 3"

what size tires are on that..? i have an 83 with an 8inch superlift, 3inch body with cut out fender flares...i was wondering will 44s fit and how bad they will rub when flexed some...

42" tsls... id say with cut fenders and the bl you will have no problem clearing... after these tires wear out im gonna upgrade to 44s and try not to lift it any more than it is now

you can see how much i cut my fenders in the last pic

Thats my prob, im going to do the body all over on my swb. I have a cowl hood, fenders, doors, rockers and cab corners done last year...and then it will be painted. Id hate to get the tires and them rub too hard...i can get a deal on em and dont wana pass it up.. I dont mind cutting the new fenders for new cuttouts but i dont wana chop anymore than that, i have 37s now and lots of room...

Not in this one, im my m1008 i do. In this one i have a 350 .040 over,solid 525 lift cam, its roughly 450 hp on race gas, 456 gears, dana 60, 14bolt, 456/205...

the fenders look good, i dont wana go that far with them. just cut outs and flares. nice work tho....

Here's mine...

Front = 2.5" lift 52's (currently without the overload spring) - approx 6" lift

Rear = 4" lift 56's + 2.5" flip + Zero Rate

1" body lift

Tires = 43" SX's

There's about 2.5" difference in height front to rear so I'm planning on adding a Zero Rate to the front and possibly putting the overload back in.

heres a pic with old cut out flares and 37s, im thinking it will clear 44s but barely....maybe ill keep the 37s for wheeling.

Imagine those man tires you were gonna put on there. They were 49s right?

wow....my current tires are small. you have 13 inches, did you cut the fenders like that because they rubbed or just clearanced em that far..?

47" LTB's (they're on lar300mag's truck now), it's only 4" on paper but there was a dramatic difference in size. :eek1: There's not really anything in my pic for perspective but it's not really that tall. My old truck had 12" w/ 44's and was a good bit taller.

Here's my old truck...

Front = 10" springs

Rear = 8" spring + 2" block

2" body lift

It didn't rub BUT the fenders were cut and it was purely a mud truck so I never really pushed it to flex.
