On my parts truck (3/4ton) and the blazer frame (1/2 ton) i swapped the 44s today...got the new lined up in hte blazer.

tried to put on my older/longer u-bolts too narrow! what the H*ll? the ones from the 3/4 fit perfect...but i have to move the perches from truck to truck and seeing as yuo need u-bolts holind them down to get the swaybar off...im kinda screwed at the moment (alone)

Anybody else have this problem? NO its not a 60. gears look the same, says 44in the corner under the diff cover.

afaik, d44s had 2.75" tubes through 1974(?) and then went to 3". the lift i bought was originally on a 74 k5, and the u-bolts are too narrow for my 10bolt.

hmm...cool, never knew that! THANKS!

Well the 3/4 ton 44 is from a 77 adn i guess that means that my frame is a first gen. judging by the 44s wall thickness, rear body mounts, and axle types.

I got it straighetend out, just swapped over everything, u-bolts, plates, etc.
