44's

Re: 44\'s

with a 4" and 44's you would need to hack the fender's alot and lose the rear part of your inner fenders.i have this done on mine with 6" of lift and 42's.with 44's you will have to modify the floor boards also.mine rub a bit when maxed out but i plan to move the front axle forward a 1.5" i think this will solve my rubbing.42's are 15" wide most 44's are 18+ this is what's going to cause major problems.it can be done though.i saw a blazer in fourwheeler a long time ago with 44's and a 1" lift.he totally redid the fire wall and floor boards and tubbed the rear.so it's possible it will be alot of work though.here are some pictures of mine.

Re: 44\'s

on the first version of my truck, I had 4" and 40's. alot of fender trimming, alot! the front tires hit the firewall on more than 1 ocasion!! but other than that, they fit. I have 44's on there now and have gone to 6" and 3 body. I didn't cut the fenders out as much, and put on bushwacker cutout flares. with the offset of the bigger rims, I seem to have alot less clearance than I had before. I am comptemplating more lift.

Re: 44\'s

Henry, I saw the little pic of your rig on your avatar and definitely thought, "gotta see some pics of this!"

I clicked on your profile to click the AOL home page you have on there and it shows nothing coming up. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

Are you aware of this or is it something you need to get fixed? Just curious as I was trying to look for some pictures and info about your truck. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Re: 44\'s

my first version of my truck. those are 40" gumbo mudders. at the time of that pic there is 6" lift on rear and 5" front. under hard compression in front, the tires would contact firewall!!

Re: 44\'s

oh, my daughter painted that when she was 13. it was her idea. the NEW truck also painted by my daughter, now 16, is also flames. new pics will be posted tonight. less runs this time.

Re: 44\'s

I've got 4" BDS front springs on my Blazer. And Ford F-150 and a shackle flip on the rear. And a 3" body lift. And 44's with Bushwacker cut-out flares.

Things fit, rub a bit when it's really twisted up.

Oh yeah, my Mog axles give me another ~6 inches lift. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
