Are the brackets different or just the mounts. Thanks. If you have a set 0f 454 brackets and wanna sell em please see parts wanted section.

Yes the brackets are different. Before you pay money for a set, go down to you local GM dealership and find out the the prices for the brackets new.
The brackets wasn't too expensive about 10 years ago.

Yes the big block brackets for the accessories are differnt than the small block stuff. Small block stuff can be made to work on a big block though. Either with pre-made adapters or home fabed ones.

Guys, i'm pretty sure he's talking about the motor mount brackets since he asked "are the brackets different or just the mounts".

To the OP if you're swapping in a 454 in place of a 350 the motor mounts will work BUT sometimes there is a clearance issue with the oil pan depending on what pan you have.

You can take a 350 out and put a 454 in its place using the same motor mounts and brackets. I did it to my '85.

i did the same thing in my 85 as well. i did buy new mounts, but everything bolted up. just had to trim the frame rail a little bit to get my headers to clear.

Yeah, I bought new mounts too.... ones for a 350. :D

The brackets on the engine are 1" taller on a 4x4 than a 2wd or car version, but sometimes both will work depending on oil pan clearance,etc..AFAIK the V8's are all the same big or small block..
