Hi. I am finally getting around to swapping out my 350 for the 454 turbo 400 np 205 i found in a k30. I believe its was a 86 but i am not sure. I will go get the casting a date code of the motor when i get a chance. It is currently a efi and i want to ditch it. I am looking for a torque monster. 425 hp to 450 hp would be nice alone with 500+ ft/lbs. 5500 rpm to 6000 rpm. I don't have the budget to run high revving. I was thing air gap intake with aluminium heads and a mild cam and probably a 750 cfm carb. Any advice and input on what parts work well together would be much appreciated.

I am currently running 1 ton running gear with 4.10 gear ratio on 38 inch tsl

Don't waste your time on aluminum heads, get your self a good set of 049 or 781's. There oval port large chamber heads that flow well w/o having to do a lot of work to them. Aluminum heads are for weight saving and cost a pretty penny. Dual plane intake to keep that low end grunt. I run the extreme 4x4 cam in my 468 right now. Has good throttle response and rev's up to 5800 w/o any issue's
