I have a mark IV 454 that is running condition with a relativly fresh rebuild. It was a stock rebuild, and it is still sporting the peanut port heads that came with it stock. I am not interested in changing the pistons to bump up the compression, but I have a set of 049 heads that are just sitting here. Is it worth anything to swap the 049's on a stock motor? Or is it pointless unless I raise the compression?
