I am gonna install the HOOKER Super Comp long tubes 2" primary to 3.5" collector

HOK-2841HKR
Headers, Super Competition, Full-Length, Steel, Painted, Chevy, GMC, 396-454, Pair
(Mfr. #: 2841HKR)

Hope they fit!

I run headman long tube headers currently, I'll have to look for the part number. I'll be swapping them out for shorty's or block hugger's pretty soon.

Finding headers that clear the frame, shackle and driveshaft can be difficult.

and your hookers don't sound like they work

Hooker Headers #520-2841
# Super Comp Headers1968-87 1/2, 3/4, 1-Ton Trucks; 1968-91 Blazer, Yukon, Jimmy, Suburban, Crew Cab BBC 396-502
# 2" x 35" Primary Tubes
# 3-1/2" Collector
(brandoneh)
"Pipes ran right into the shackle and also leaf springs on both sides. Also some major frame notching would be required"

Welp, hopefully the info from http://www.andysautosport.com/products/hooker__2841HKR.html is correct at least for the 76-78 K5's (which is what I have)

Fits On:
68-80 Gmc C15/C1500 Pickup Base, Big Ten, 68-86 Chevrolet C30 Pickup Base, 73-76 Gmc Jimmy Base, 76-78 Chevrolet Blazer K5 Base, 87-88 Chevrolet R30 Pickup Base, 87-91 Gmc R3500 Pickup Base, 89-91 Chevrolet R2500 Suburban Base, 89-91 Chevrolet R3500 Pickup Base.

What year K5 is brandoneh running?

I just noticed the Hooker comment I posted above was for a 1st gen so you might be fine.
