454 "HI PERF" markings?

I just got to lookin at my motor since pullin it out of the Blazer and noticed "HI PERF" markings on the rear of the block, passenger side, behind the flywheel. It's also marked like that near the oil filter. Is there any significance to 'em? I'll try and get some pics up later, camera needs charged. I tried mortec.com and didn't find anything. Just the block casting # and whatnot. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
