454 Oil Pan Clearance Issues?

Hey BBC Guys,

I am going to be installing a 454 in my 86' K5 and was wondering if their is a certain oilpan that i should have to clear everything? I figure it will fit with no problems, but i thought i would ask before i start cleaning up this old one.

It should fit without issues. If it was a 2wd then you could have some problems with clearance.

It was in a 83 1/2 ton 2wd Chevy truck. Would you know what pan i should use?

The pan that's on it should work.

I'm running a BBC402 in an 87 K5 with no issues. It has a 6 or 7 quart pan.
