454 Overheating Problem

your the fourth person to mention a leaky head gasket. But I have no ill affect. No Coolant in the exhaust and none in the Oil. Might bear looking at though... Thanx

i had neither of those myself, that i saw, it was a very slow leak, didn't even make the engine run weird, the only time when i knew something was starting to go wrong, is when it would act like a quick hydrolock while trying to start it.

I would hit the key and the engine would stop, i bump it a couple more times and it would fire.

then finally one day it just stopped and woun't do anything, so i started pulling plugs, when i started at #8 and worked my way around and when i finally hit the last one on driverside, #7 it just dumped out what seemed like a whole cylinder full of water.

i still did not have water in the oil though.
 
Crazy. I got no real symptoms until tonight there is a serious miss happening. But just feels like a Lope. sept its jacken with rpms .and my volt gauge is high this whole thing is acting crazy. I've been pissed enough to almost... well I was ready to scrap it!
