Its not as expensive as I thought it would be. Cool when I get rich I could put one in my Scout! Talk about some horsies in a little rig. OOO! How about in a little S truck. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Interesting. Several years ago, I was trying to build a 454 using a production 400 block. I had a 4-1/8" stroke crank lined up, but it turned out to have cracks. Couldn't find another for a reasonable price. Ended up building a 434 using a 4 inch stroke. The block had to be clearanced, and a special cam had to be ground. Makes one hell of an engine. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif Used it in a mud drag truck.
That motor doesn't impress me. I would rather have a 406 or maybe a 434ci SBC. If I wanted a 454ci I would just build a BBC 454 for half the price. Only advantage I see is a few less lbs. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif
