So I have a 1985 K30 454.
I am going to do a serpentine belt swap with this $149 kit from Kwik Performance (it adapts factory brackets from 1990-1995 Full size trucks: V8 5.7L, V8 5.0L, and V6 4.3L and 1987-1995 S10 pickups and S10 Blazers: V6 4.3L) and you need the $50 BBC crank pulley adapter.

The donor vehicle is 1994.
I assume the 1994 ps pump pulley is pull of style pulley?
Anyone know if the 1994 pulley will fit on to the shaft of my current 1985 ps hydro boost ps pump?
Thanks in advance.

I think the press on type pulleys are universal with GM applications.

I used a pump for my ‘91 application so the pulley fit fine,

Pump Shafts: The Saginaw self-contained pump was offered with two different pulley shafts. The 5/8-inch nut retained keyway-style shaft was used from its inception until 1974 and the 3/4-inch diameter “press-on” style shaft was used from 1975 and on.

Clipped from googlefu. Should be good to go.

Looking forward to a nice serpentine setup with all that good no slip belt traction, and a big alternator!
I'll have to revisit those alternator threads now!;)
Thanks guys!

search my threads for alt upgrades . i have been running a 210 amp unit direct fit for over 12 years now . fit right in place of the cs130 that come on the serp belt setups . and its a cs144 size unit .

Just to verify, I think this is the one you're talking about, right?

Can you tell me if that will clear the valve covers on a gen 6 BBC? I installed those same brackets and a serpentine system on the passenger's side, but with the A/C compressor I had to grind down a bit of the valve cover and pretty much all of one of the compressor bolt heads to get it to fit. I've been waiting to put the driver's side on because I don't want to run into a similar problem with the alternator, since it's a larger case than the stock cs-130.

Any tips to removing the long ac compressor bolts so one can get the brackets off the donor engine?

if the serp belt style AC comp 3 bolts there is a flat spot in the washr head on them to JUST skim by the pulley and maybe light tap past and they will come out .

but you have to pull the nuts FIRST NOT the bolt as the flat spot also is the index tab to old it to the aluminum bracket from spinning as you tighten the nuts .

same alt yes

as to fitment i have no idea on your combo .

Sweet K30: Fit perfect. I sent the brackets out for powdercoating but I'll post a pic when they're back. Alternator is really light for a 200 amp.
Ned Kelley: Are you planning on running A/C on your serpentine setup? If so, which compressor are you going to use? I used the Kwik brackets on my 96 big block and really like them, everything lined up and it was an easy swap...had a harder time finding the right GM brackets with the A/C on the pass side.

So time to get a 454 1988-99 reverse rotation water pump for the serpentine conversion.
Looking at Rock Auto, is it worthwhile getting the heavy duty water pump? ..only a few dollars more so that is inconseqential...just wondering if anything to be gained or lost?
