454 swap motor mount alignment issues

Are those Stainless Allen head cap screws ? Kinda soft for and engine mount bolt. I was able to use the brace plates between the engine and bracket.

They came with the ORD kit. I thought about that too but I figured ORD knew what they were doing

I also thought this when the kit arrived. Now I can’t sleep, I will replace mine with a higher grade.

Sorry didn't mean to ruin your rest. To put this in prospective, the bolt is only holding the friction force between the plate and the block or frame. As long as the bolts are tight enough but not to tight to distress all should be well. I am sure ORD knows the shear on the 3/8 16 stainless.

Zinc coated allens IIRC. I have a set sitting on the bench for the 74 with a BBC.

With some goggling I found info on both stainless and zinc coated. Both are more than enough. Mind you I don’t know the exact grade of either. Mine are zinc coated. You can test this with a magnet.
