454 swap

I'm thinking about swaping in a 454 in my 85 silverado 3/4 ton 4x4 (4 in. suspension lift). Do I have to change anything on the front suspension? /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Shouldn't have too. Might sit a tad bit lower depending on what lift you have.

yeh when i swapped my 496 in place of my 350, it dropped the nose about 1/2", something to think about if your tires are close. Also, if you go tall valve covers (atleast my style covers) you will either need to mod your firewall (read:sledge) or body lift it. Even with a 2" body lift I had to grind on the plate that the master cyl and booster bolt to so that I could get the valve cover on.
