455 Old motor parts

Hi. i have a friends that is in the middle of getting his 455 olds motor built up and he needs a new timming chain cover. Anybody know a company that sells them.

I would bet that a 350 or 403 Olds use the same cover.

Tell him to check out www.realoldspower.com like has been suggested. It's an ALL Olds site and can do nothing but benefit from the knowledge there. Just beware of the constant vendor squabbling, haha.

Wow, back from the dead, but yeah, he's a crook with prices, and he's full of crap. All kinds of one-off items he knew Olds made (which they didn't, and he has no proof of) then states it as fact that it was indeed made.

Not only that, Edelbrock collaborated with him (like Hitler and Mussollini likely) on the only Aluminum head to be made (recently) for Olds motors, and not only is it just a big block item, it doesn't have a modern chamber design. They were out there (Vortec and the like) yet he apparently chose to ignore it, or simply had no clue they existed because he only deals with Olds. Frustrating to essentially end up with a design that is probably 40 some years old, re-done in aluminum and called a performance part.

All around jerk and I'd go so far as calling him a hack, at least in regards to modern stuff.
