I have ran 48" Michelins on a daily driver Ford and my Chevy. The axles are Dana 60/70 and I have broke two sets of rear shafts, two sets of Warn hubs and several drivelines. The Michelins are smooth and quiet on the road and good in the mud. The compound is hard and they can be aired down to almost 0 psi with double beadlocks. In the snow they are not very good because of the lack of siping. Look for cracks in the sidewall, some of these tires are old and showing age, try and get newer ones, they all have dates on them. I have a new set of 46s that are going on my tow rig when it gets done. I will be making my own steel double beadlocks similar to Stazworks. For everyone else, I would recommend Stazworks double steel internal beadlock wheels with pressed centers. Other options are military combat rims but they are really hard to find and expensive, there are two different 2.5-ton versions and 2 5-ton versions both 20". These tires are heavy too, from 250-350 lbs each depending on size and tread pattern.
